Short Description

The banking landscape is undergoing a major transformation process: Emerging financial technology startups (FinTechs) are threatening the core business model of established banks by building modern online platforms. Large digital players such as Google or Amazon also want to capture parts of the financial business. Digital technologies are giving consumers more and more opportunities to conduct their financial transactions without having to deal with banks. But what will the banking landscape of tomorrow look like? How and via which intermediaries will we conduct our financial transactions in the future?

  • What do digital service innovations of the future look like that enable 24x7x365 processing of banking transactions?
  • How will FinTech companies (in areas such as crowdfunding, payment or credit cards) change the banking landscape in the mid to long term?
  • What disruptive potential do blockchain and Artificial Intelligence have for banks and other industries?
